Strategy aims and themes

#1 Surpassing the living wage 

The real Living Wage, advocated by the Living Wage Foundation, is a voluntary and independently set pay rate that reflects the true cost
of living. At AP Mitchell, we Surpass the Living Wage across all group divisions to ensure that people are not trapped in working poverty.

#2 Inspire and educate young people 

Our Apprenticeship and Work Placement Schemes provide young people with employability skills for the workplace and open their eyes to the huge range of careers in Engineering and Construction.

#3 Support and scale social enterprise 

We are a business that operates to deliver social and/or environmental benefits, for example, employing jobs to local people and supporting development of healthy, strong and resilient communities through initiatives to help them help themselves.

Support up to five social enterprises which already include: Hip & Harmony, Neston Nomads football team and Neston community youth centre

Inspire and educate 10,000 young people about careers from primary school upwards

Supporting Local Community Projects

At AP Mitchell we pride ourselves on championing local community projects for outstanding causes in our local area. One such project we have pledged to is new equipment for a local park and community area.

We have pledged £1000 to this local project 

This project will help update and revitalise a central hub for local community activities and provide an activity space for young adults in the local area. This community backed project is going to be an excellent addition to our local area.
