AP Mitchell were appointed by Equans in late 2022 to undertake an ASHP installation project at Sutton Green Primary School in Ellesmere Port. Our work at the site involved large mechanical and electrical engineering works. We were responsible for supply and installation of Daikin ASHPs, an Andrews Ecoflo water heater, a Cordivari buffer vessel, dosing pot and air & dirt separator as well as the distribution pipework within the plant room of the school.

As part of this project we provided an upgrade to the existing heat emitters around the school, supplying a number of Henrad K2 and Caspian SL radiators throughout the school.

From an electrical perspective, AP Mitchell provided an overhaul of the mains distribution fittings, including new busbar chamber, fused isolators and electrical cables. We were responsible for providing additional external lighting in the form of a new LED flood light, and providing a new BMS panel and wiring configuration to address the new equipment automatically for easy operation. The new BMS was also linked to the fire alarm system.
